Zeytoonian Center Founder Michael Zeytoonian Co-Presented a Workshop on “Dispute Resolution by Design” at Association for Conflict Resolution 10th Annual Conference
Michael Zeytoonian, director and founder of the Zeytoonian Center for Dispute Resolution, presented a workshop on “Dispute Resolution by Design “ with workshop organizer P. Marshall Yoder, a collaborative law attorney with Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver, PLC of Harrisonburg, Virginia, at the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) 10th Annual Conference in Chicago at 4:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2010.
The workshop focused on designing a dispute resolution process tailored to the specific situation and specific parties in dispute. In addition to meeting with the parties separately to review the models available, the approach considered a menu of specific options available and allowed the parties to choose a la carte from the components found in mediation, collaborative practice and other dispute resolution procedures. The approach recognizes the primacy of the clients in choosing the appropriate dispute resolution elements.
